The Motherhood Experience is held for one day only each year. A day created entirely around mothers and the connection they share with their children.

A day intentionally designed to honour the women who are holding so much, loving so deeply, and creating a family one ordinary day at a time.

This isn't a family session.
It isn't a 'mini' session
It's about documenting your connection with your children, or the tiny life you're still carrying, in a way that feels timeless and deeply personal.
We had the most wonderful Motherhood Session with Sarah. As someone who initially didn’t think I needed maternity photos, I am so incredibly glad I took the leap. Having my toddler there with me made it even more special, and I know these are memories I’ll treasure forever.
Sarah made the entire experience feel so easy and comfortable. Not once did I feel awkward, overly posed or like we were trying to manufacture a moment. Everything felt genuine, relaxed and beautifully organic. She simply allowed us to be ourselves and captured our connection exactly as it was.

What to expect from the motherhood experience

​​How long is the session?
Each session runs for 40 minutes, giving you time to settle in, relax and enjoy being together without feeling rushed.
​​
When is it?
Wednesday 30th September
​
Who is it for?
These sessions are created for mums and mums-to-be.
They are best suited to maternity sessions, mums with babies, and mums with toddlers.
This experience is dedicated entirely to motherhood, so dads and grandparents will not be included on the day.
There will be only 6 sessions offered for the day.

Where is it held?
The experience takes place at Eagle Ridge Retreat in Yeppoon, a beautiful and private property with sweeping ocean views and a warm, retro feel.
​
The home includes both an indoor and outdoor shower, which we can incorporate into your session if it feels right for you. There is absolutely no expectation to use either. Your session will always be shaped around what helps you feel most comfortable.

What will we do?
I’ll play music, gently guide you when needed, and move through the home with you as we capture the quiet, playful and deeply connected moments between you and your little ones.
​
For maternity sessions, the experience is just as relaxed. We’ll create meaningful images that honour your changing body and the baby you are already getting to know.
​
You do not need to know how to pose, have perfectly behaved children or arrive feeling completely confident. This experience is about slowing down, being present and creating photographs that show the love already there.
​
The goal is simple: to connect, to relax and to be remembered.
