I’m a family photographer based between Rockhampton and Yeppoon. My work grew out of my own motherhood, from the deep awareness of how quickly these early years pass, and the need to remember them with care.

I craved photos of myself with my children, not just smiling moments, but the quiet, intimate ones that make up real life.

Images that held meaning, story, and emotion, not just something nice to look at.

That’s what I create for families now.

This was taken during an in-home family session here in Rockhampton, and honestly… I could photograph families in kitchens forever. The leaning, the hovering, the half-finished cups of tea, the way everyone just exists together.

It isn’t just the walls or the roof. It’s the half-read books by the bed, the drawings pinned on the fridge, the mug you always reach for first, the well-worn couch where everyone piles in. Over time, we pour ourselves into these spaces until they carry our story.

🦈 I have a fear of sharks… but the ocean is still my happy place
🚣‍♀️ I spent a huge part of my life rowing — first flat water boats, then surfboats. Saltwater and early mornings were my world for a long time
📚 I find Dr Seuss books weird (don’t come for me!) 🦁 In 2017 we ‘pre-mooned’ in Zimbabwe and during a morning game walk we were stalked by a lion. I squealed.. something you’re definitely not supposed to do! My husband was quick to calm me (he’s the wild man). We were in safe hands!
🌈 I’m a proud mama to two beautiful rainbow babies
🦜 At 7 years old, I used a whole disposable camera on a macaw at the zoo— it was the first animal we saw and my sister has never let me live it down 😂
📸 Our own family photo from when I was 5 includes me biting my brother’s arm. A solid reminder that perfection is overrated and chaos is welcome
🎤 The first time I sang in front of people was to an audience of 500. Wild choice.
🏙 Born in Perth ➡️ raised in Sydney ➡️ now raising my own family in Rockhampton
🎬 If you ask me to choose a favourite movie… it’s The Greatest Showman (closely followed by The Lion King)
⛺️ Most weekends you’ll find us out on the boat, camping, hiking and finding streams to swim in, fishing and exploring wild places together — barefoot, salty, twigs in our hair and totally at home
🩺 I’m also a practising dietitian — a role that’s taught me how to truly listen, connect with people, and care deeply. That same heart is at the centre of my photography: capturing your story with warmth, empathy and honesty.

They brought their guitar along to our session, and for a few minutes, dad sang some of those familiar tunes that have become their nightly ritual.

For the best results, you want your family to feel comfortable and confident in what they’re wearing.

Consider planning your outfits around the location to help create a cohesive look without being too “matchy-matchy.” For example, light, airy fabrics in neutral tones or soft pastels work beautifully on the beach, but make sure everyone is comfortable enough to play, jump, and run without any restrictions.

Do not stress when it comes to choosing outfits, I will help you from day one, with plenty of guides and recommendations to take that stress away!

Picking the right location is key to capturing authentic moments. A great location doesn't have to have beautiful scenery but it must resonate with your family’s personality and interests.

For example, if your family loves spending weekends at the beach, it might be the perfect place to hold your portrait session. Think about where your family feels most at ease and happy—whether it’s a local park, a favourite hiking spot, or even your own backyard.

Kids love to run around, and they’re bound to get a little messy or wet, especially if you're at the beach. I am also prone to a spontaneous run into the ocean so having some back up clothes allows you to be that extra care-free.
