I’m Sarah, a newborn photographer based right here in Rockhampton, and I’m here to help you remember this chapter. Not just what it looked like, but what it felt like, the weight of your baby on your chest, the way their fingers curled around yours, the love that fills your home in the quiet moments.

Whether you're welcoming your baby at home, choosing a Fresh 48 session in hospital, or stepping into the soft light of the outdoors, I’m here to help you feel completely at ease. Newborn photography should reflect the truth of this season—fleeting, powerful, and full of heart.
When to book
Because babies do what they want, we will book a tentative date on/around the due date. This will reserve this time around the birth for your session.
Most families book their newborn session for sometime in the first two weeks, while your baby is still all curled up and extra sleepy. But the truth is, there’s no “perfect” time. If you’ve already had your baby and you’re just now thinking about photos, it’s not too late.
If this season feels like it's moving too fast and you don’t want to forget what these days feel like, that’s the perfect time.

What to expect from your session
Before your session, we’ll chat about what’s most important to you, what you want to remember, and how you want to feel when you look back on these images.
On the day, I’ll arrive quietly and take a moment to find the light and settle in. The session will be relaxed and intuitive, shaped around your baby’s rhythm. There’s no rushing. Just connection, calm, and real moments.
You’ll walk away with photographs that feel like you, not just pretty pictures, but real memories, captured gently and honestly.
Your Portraits
After your session, you will receive your full online viewing gallery (of 50+ images) within 4 weeks of our session.
I will present your gallery in a beautiful slideshow which we view together. I love the moment when I see your face fall in love with your portraits, my favourite part.
From here you can let me know which package you would like to proceed with and we can discuss how to display your portraits in your home.
